VOTE GREEN
Be sure to vote on Nov 7!  The Green Voters Guide offers nonpartisan research about the candidate’s views on climate change. Read more.

Shred-it and Electronics Recycling
On Sat. Nov. 4, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Creekside Middle School, you’ll have a chance to safely shred documents to protect against identity theft, recycle electronics, safely dispose of prescription drugs and dispose of large bulk items. Read more.

Indiana Climate Action Plan
The state of Indiana is developing a climate action plan for the first time ever, thanks to a $3M EPA planning grant. The Indiana Dept of Environmental Management is seeking public input through November. This is your opportunity to ask for climate solutions that are important to you.  You can comment at a public meeting on Nov 8, complete the survey by Nov 29, and provide written comments. Read more.  

Green Gift Shop
Don’t forget to join us Thursday, Nov. 30th, 1:30 to 7 p.m. at the Carmel Library to make your holiday shopping a little greener and earth-friendly.  Local businesses will showcase green gifts that are local, organic, natural, recycled or repurposed.  Read more.

Easy Ways to Go Green
Make sustainability your top priority to protect the future for kids and grandkids! Everything we do impacts our earth in some way. Change habits that will improve our environment. We can do this together!  Here’s how to calculate your household carbon footprint and some easy ways to go green.
