Earth Hour at City Hall

Join us on Saturday, March 30th, 2019 at City Hall to celebrate Earth Hour, a global event to shine a light on climate action.

We will turn out the lights in and around City Hall from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. to join with cities around the world.  Come at 8:15 to witness lights out!

The City of Carmel and the Carmel Green Initiative would like to offer the area in front of City Hall to any Girl Scout troop that would like to come and participate in Earth Hour. We will turn off all of the lights at City Hall for 1 hour.

Can’t make it? Join families around the world to turn off the lights on pollution at home.  At school and work, please make sure all non-essential lighting and electronics are turned off that weekend.

Saving electricity is one of the easiest ways for Hoosiers to save money and be good stewards of the earth because almost all of our electricity comes from coal, the greatest source of water and air pollution, and the greatest contributor to global warming pollution.
